Financial Support

We provide financial support for students eligible for free school meals or the 16-19 Bursary. We also operate a scholarship scheme called the Garnett Family Scholars Programme which provides additional financial, material and mentoring support for financially disadvantaged students. On enrolment students will be given information  on how to apply for this support.

As a small school we do not have an catering service, so students eligible for free school meals are given a monthly payment to pay for their school lunches in addition to their 16-19 Bursary support.

Find our more about the Garnett Family Scholar's Programme here.

Other support is also available from a variety of sources, including these:

Turn2us – a national charity that helps people in financial hardship to gain access to welfare benefits, charitable grants and support services.

Working Families – A charity that helps working parents and carers and their employers find a better balance between responsibilities at home and work.

The Trussell Trust – find a local food bank: Find a Food Bank – The Trussell Trust

Citizen’s Advice – an independent organisation specialising in confidential information and advice to assist people with legal, debt, consumer, housing and other problems.
