Our aim is to enable the young people of the Liverpool City Region to change the world. One part of that is enabling them to gain access to highly competitive university courses and careers, and great exam results are often essential for that. Value Added/ Progress
For 2024 our DfE KS4-5 progress measure is +0.76 (Well Above Average), which places us 9th highest in the country compared to all other schools and colleges including both independent and state funded schools and colleges. Compare schools and colleges here
Our Value-Added for Disadvantaged Students is +1.05 making us the third highest performing school or college in the country on this measure. See more information. Enabling students who face disadvantage to achieve and succeed is a key part of our work.
On the measure of the proportion of "students achieving AAB or higher, including at least 2 facilitating subjects" we are the 4th highest achieving state school in the country. See more information
Our students achieve a range of GCSE results (from average to high) before they come to us, but then go on to achieve exceptional A-Level results that are considerably above expectation, thanks to the unique learning environment, the positive attitudes of their peer group and the excellent teaching and support they receive.
