Open Evenings and Taster Day Information

This will give you all you need to know for you to make the decision whether we are the Sixth Form you would like to join in September.

1. Open Evening & Virtual Open Evening

We held our Open Evening here at Sir Alastair Pilkington Building on 29th September 2021. A huge thank you to everyone who came to view our school, spoke to our teachers and students and found out more about our curriculum. It was a great turn out and a lovely evening.  We hope to see you all again soon! We do not have another Open Evening scheduled this term but we do have taster days and school tours running if you would like to find out more about our school and curriculum.

We also ran regular live events for information regarding our school and applications last year. This included an informal conversation between staff and students about the school, those who joined us were able to ask us about any aspect of school life and you can hear the answers in the video below.

Our previous live events can be viewed in the YouTube playlist for Open Evenings. Our 2020 Open Evening event can be seen below:

2. Open Evening Presentation- Headteacher Talk

Headteacher Damian Haigh and Assistant Headteacher David Hemsley went through the mission of the school in October 2020 and what type of student would greatly benefit from the curriculum we offer in a live talk. Open evenings will be in person from this year.

You can watch a recorded version of the talk below. We had a question and answer session at the end, if you do have any questions please do get in touch with us,
